To say the seats in my Scout have seen better days is like saying Snoop Dogg enjoys the occasional fatty.
The duct tape was courtesey of the previous owner. Reupholstery is not something my wallet is currently willing to discuss, so I went looking for a cheap fix. For the tidy sum of $25, courtesy of China by way of eBay, some marginally acceptible covers were procured. They went on easy, despite the need to remove the drivers seat. For $25, I can’t complain. Even if they only last a year, it will have been worth it, and by then, a proper fix should be in the cards.

The new covers are an improvement but the old ones had character

Yep, they had character, and mildew, and creatures unknown to science.

Doesn’t look half bad! Better than the old mess though, haha.

Do your front seats hinge forward toward the windshield? My dad’s Scout was like that.

The passenger side does. The drivers side is on regular adjustable rails.
